Hackers have been attacking installations of Mambo across the web, and we suggest that any of our customers using Mambo to upgrade to the latest version of the software.

Our system is VERY secure, but hackers can completely wreck your Mambo site due to a security loop in the Mambo software itself. In fact mamboserver.com itself was attacked last month. We recommend that all customers using Mambo 4.5.2 upgrade their installations (whether or not you used Fantastico to install it) to version 4.5.3. Version 4.5.3 includes a security update that will fix this problem (there is a security update that is also available for version 4.5.2, though we still recommend that you upgrade to version 4.5.3).
